What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is literally “God breathed” — that God verbally inspired the writing of His Word, the Bible. Therefore, we believe that the Bible is the one and only true Word of God, and it guides us in all our beliefs.
The Bible tells us that the first man that God created was Adam, and that He made Adam different from the rest of His creation by giving him a soul and the opportunity to fellowship with God. But Adam’s disobedience to God in the garden of Eden broke this fellowship with God and blackened Adam’s soul with sin. Adam’s sin caused him to be separated from God forever. As a result, all men, since Adam, are born with sin in our hearts. The Bible tells us that all men have sinned. Because God is absolutely holy, we, as sinners, cannot enjoy His presence. The Bible tells us that man’s punishment for his sin is death and ultimate separation from God in Hell.
However, the Bible tells us that God in His mercy has provided a way to restore sinful man to a relationship with Him. God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to earth as a sinless man to die for the sins of mankind. He died a cruel death and shed His perfect, holy blood to pay the price for mankind’s sin. If we who are sinful men will turn away from our sin, ask God for forgiveness, and personally accept the payment made by God’s Son, Jesus Christ, we, who are born sinners, can enjoy fellowship with God forever.
In return for this great gift, we who have trusted Christ to be our Savior give our lives in service to Him. We study the Bible so we can live in obedience to God’s instructions for daily living and so we can learn to be more like the Savior we adore and worship. We pray regularly for God’s will and guidance in our lives, and we meet regularly with other believers to worship Him together.
